Hi. Dr Ron here and I’d like to talk with you about something that affects all of us whether we realize it or not.
Did you know that there are only 4 reasons why people get sick?
These 4 things affect your life over the long run and while you’re probably familiar with 3 of them, the 4 may surprise you. Here are the 3 factors that create illness that you probably know about.
- Toxicity (of any kind)
- Deficiency of Nutrients (like vitamins or dietary lack)
- Physical Trauma (broken bones, etc)
Whether you go to a traditional healer, a conventional healer, or a complementary healer, these are the primary things that we’ve been trained in our fields to look at and treating one of the 3 major illness factors can almost always take care of an acute condition.
If the illness is possible to treat and you’ve had it for less than 3 months or it just happened, the odds are that a well trained doctor, physician, therapist, or coach can get you through it and you will get better.
However, what I’ve discovered is that when a person goes beyond about a 3-6 month period (90 days is the official break by the standards of neurophysiology) then the rules change.
That doesn’t mean you won’t have the 3 factors, toxicity, deficiency, or physical trauma, but what seems to happen after that initial period is that the 4th factor begins to control the process of the illness. And here it is.
4. How you cope with stress
Ever notice how some people do very well in the face of stress and others fall apart when they perceive that someone has given them a dirty look? It’s not the stress itself that creates problems, it’s the way you react to it. Stress itself can be handled and believe it or not, the way you process it can too.
Every time you notice that you’re upset, all you have to do is ask the question What would it take to change this?
Sounds pretty simple, right? Actually, it is simple. The trick is not to look for an answer. You’re actually looking for a solution and solutions involve something you’ve never thought of before. Otherwise, you’d have already figured it out, right?
When you ask What would it take to change this? what you’re doing is instructing your non congnitive nervous system and your awareness to begin looking at things you’ve never looked at before and that’s how you create a solution.
